答：毅博公司在全球拥有超过600名的技术咨询专业人员，并能在超过90个工程、社科、健康以及环境科学等领域提供专业咨询服务。在中国，我们的技术实力主要包括：产品和设备的失效分析、设计评估、根据客户需求设计产品测试以及生产线审核评估等。以工厂审核为例，我们的服务范围包括从工厂的预审查以帮助客户初步评估一个供应商，到针对生产设备、流水线以及产品细节的工程和技术审核。毅博中国与我公司全球其他23个分公司紧密合作，为国际和国内的制造企业解决复杂的技术难题。
1. What are the key areas of the service that Exponent can supply? How about its technical strength?
A: Exponent has more than 600 technical consulting professionals and can provide services in over 90 technical disciplines including engineering, social science, health sciences and environmental sciences. In China, our strengths include product and equipment failure analysis, design review, customized product testing and manufacturing line auditing and review. Our manufacturing site visits range in scope from a preliminary walk-through to help a customer make a first evaluation of a vendor, to detailed engineering audit of the equipment, lines and manufactured products. Exponent China works seamlessly with our global offices to solve technical challenges for international and domestic manufacturing enterprises.
2、在中国的特定条件下，您是如何看待和开展科技咨询工作？

2、 In the Chinese special conditions, how do you see and run the scientific consulting business?
A: There are many opportunities for Exponent to help both international and domestic companies producing goods in China. As a US company, our fees are higher relative to most Chinese consultants, however we offer more than 40 years of failure analysis and design experience and offer an international perspective on problem solving and technology assessments since our consultants have received advanced degrees and work experience abroad. This is a key point for manufacturers in China that sell or plan to sell products abroad, since foreign customers have certain expectations regarding quality of products and manufacturing practices. As China continues upgrading its manufacturing industries, it is critical for Chinese manufacturers to continue improving the quality and safety of their products to rebuild the reputation of “Made-in-China” after several recent well-publicized incidents. Exponent has extensive experience helping Chinese manufacturers in various industries break the technical bottleneck to make qualified products that meet international standards and foreign markets’ expectations.

3. Why does Exponent, as a well-known worldwide company, consider Chinese and East Asia as a potential market?
A: Exponent opened an office in China in 2005 after receiving many suggestions from our international clients to do so. Because so many of the products sold around the world today are manufactured in China and East Asia, this became a natural location to place an Exponent office. As China increases its global market presence and technological status, the market and opportunities for Exponent will continue to increase.
